Time to get back in gear

So I just realized that it has been quite some time since we have updated our blog.

I suppose it stems from the disappointment of our first craft show, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. We’re still crafting, we just haven’t been doing quite as much as we had been, but I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. I did finish a large cross stitch that I had been working on for what felt like forever, and I’m on another one now that I started quite some time ago as well. I figured I might as well start practicing the art of finishing what I start!

I also came up with a good idea for a product today that I hope will be both useful and popular! I’m not quite ready to reveal it yet (still testing and refining), but hopefully it won’t be much longer!

Just keep an eye here, on our Facebook page, and on our Etsy store!

Almost there!

Crafty Christmas is almost here, and we are soooooo excited to finally participate in our first ever craft show! Not only are we excited for the show, but we are also glad to be helping Bighouse through this show. Bighouse has, and will continue to be a beacon in our community for those who are in the foster care system.

Since the show is right upon us, we thought this would be a good time to cover a few last minute details if anyone out there is actually planning on visiting our booth. First, we finally have a real logo which has been made into a semi-nice banner type thing. So, when you’re looking for our booth, just keep your eyes out for this banner…

Second, for those of you who spot the banner and stop by for a visit, remember the following:

  1. We will be able to accept cash, checks, debit cards and credit cards. We try not to discriminate against the various forms in which money can present itself.
  2. We will be taking orders at our booth! For each order we will need half of the payment up front, with the other half due upon delivery of the item.
  3. If you don’t see something that you would like, we are open to custom orders as well. Depending on the amount of orders we receive, and the current date, we may not be able to promise delivery of all orders in time for Christmas, but we will definitely try our hardest!

Lastly, we want to share a few “Previews” of items that we will have at our booth. You can click on the pictures to get a bigger view.

Oh, and I almost forgot. We have hidden the 10% off coupon (must print it out, or show it to us on your phone) for Crafty Christmas somewhere on our blog. It’s either in a previous post, or on one of the other pages, so good luck, and we hope to see you all tomorrow night! Enjoy these previews now!

Want 10% off your entire purchase for Crafty Christmas…

Then keep reading this blog! All the information you are going to need in which to get 10% off your entire purchase at Crafty Christmas (our craft show for BigHouse) in downtown Opelika on November 29th from 6pm-9pm! I’m going to start this blog off by telling the story of Jack and Jill and how we came to be and then I’ll get into the whole how to get 10% off your entire purchase!

About this time two years ago Phillip and I were both wondering what we could do for everyone for Christmas presents! It’s not like everyone is easy to buy for and it’s not like said gifts are cheap! I had started reading a book series by Debbie Macomber and it was about a lady who had started a knitting shop and she had knitting classes..so forth and so on! Anyway I got the bug to learn how to knit! If for nothing else then to actually just know how to knit. I’ve been married to Phillip for three years and in the year we had been married his desire for hobbies started creeping on me, so knitting was going to be my hobby!

It just kind of exploded from there and not only do we knit now, we crotchet, crosstitch, make hand tied blankets, sew purses, make fabric coasters….let’s just say if we can figure it out then we are making it! This is where you want to read about Crafty Christmas!

BigHouse is doing a craft show in November and we are apart of it. It’s our very first craft show and we are totally excited about it and we want all of our fans, who can, to come out and meet us and enjoy the first booth we will have! Everyday, starting today until November 29th we will post a blog…it might be about something we’ve made or just about us in general! Anyway, in one of the blogs ( I don’t know which one yet) there will be a hidden coupon! You have to read the blog, you have to print out the coupon (or show it to us on your phone), and you have to use it at Crafty Christmas…it won’t be any good after that! I’m going to be mean and only post on here and share the blog on the Jack and Jill Crafts page on Facebook and through Twitter, so that we can hopefully get our fan base up and really get the word out about us!! So that’s it…just keep checking back…it’ll be hidden somewhere within one of the blogs, I’m just not sure when…but once we hide it I will post a blog that we’ve hidden it..so you might have to check back within blogs you’ve already read to find it 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas (oh and happy shopping)~H
